It is more interpretative – some have even argued poetic – than the so-called objective approaches characterized as scientific method. Bullying is a problematic subject because, at an individual level, it deals with interpersonal differences that can be held to be open to a variety of interpretations and, at the corporate level, acknowledgement of its existence is an indicator of the abuse of power, and of socially unacceptable disharmony and conflict.
